The Father & Child Trust, in conjunction with Family Start Manukau and Great Fathers, are hosting a free public lecture about fatherhood
The lecture will be held on August 29th at the University of Auckland Epsom campus, and is open to anyone interested in supporting men to be better fathers. This is a rare opportunity to hear the latest research from front-line experts and experienced support workers who have helped families and fathers, trained midwives, social workers and counsellors.
FSM's very own Dave Ringrose will be co-presenting the lecture, which will focus on getting dads involved early, converting tricky fathers into involved parents and engaging fathers on mental health issues after the birth of a child. It will be hosted by Joseph Madut, a Masters Student in social work at the University of Auckland. The venue is the Faculty of Education and Social Work, and it begins at 10am with a running time of two hours.
