Aatea
This service is no longer available and ceased operation on the 30th of June 2024.
A couple of years ago, the Children's Team morphed into Aatea, the management of which was contracted to Turuki Health Care Trust. Family Success Matters had a team of lead professionals, a legacy of the Children's Team era; this team was then managed by Aatea.
In recent years, we have known that this model of care would end; it was a matter of when not if. OT informed Family Success Matters in March 2024 that the Aatea team was ending on June 30.
The Family Success Matters Aatea team of skilled lead professionals has been absorbed into the Family Start programme, increasing the number of spaces available for whanau wanting to enrol in the Family Start intensive home visiting programme.
Thank you to the Aatea team for your extraordinary mahi, and thanks to the organisations that have supported the service over the years. We hope you continue supporting Family Success Matters into the future with our increased capacity to deliver the Family Start programme in Counties Manukau and Franklin.
